Terra came from a rich uptown family in Ba Sing Se her father Tadao, was the highest ranking general in the earth kingdoms army. At the age of seven Terra slipped away from her mother Hana to see her father spar with the new rookies of the army. Amazed at the fighting itself without thinking Terra jumped into the action and before her father even got a chance to defend himself Terra earthbended a thick wall making the rookie slam into it. She looked at her father looking for approval but instead was scolded and told never to earthbend again. Hana, her mother explained to her that night that her father saw women earthbenders weak and that Terra's skill obviously scared him since it surpassed his when he was at that age.

For the next ten years other members of the army secretly taught Terra how to perfect her gift, that same night Terra had met Mattias and the Avatar Kiara only by the secret fighting arena her friends sparred at. Amazed with her skill Kiara asked for her to be her teacher and she agreed saying goodbye only to her mother since her father was always busy. When she was about twenty she met a man named Tan-ko whom she had fell in love with but due to her disappearence she had seperated from him a year later. They still are very close friends but they still have their ups and downs.

Terra has been wondering the earth kingdom for about a year now just being happy with being able to return. She has already known a lot has changed but longs to be with her friends once again. The one she especially misses the most she'll never tell. However, she has a plan she is progessing into about getting everyone back together at least one last time.
