The water crashed along the side of the boat as the wind rushed across the deck. Nhala stepped out from below decks into the fresh sea air. The wind raised her hair as she stepped towards the bow of the ship, looking ahead at the horizon.

Leaning against the rail, she raised her head, soaking in the sun. It was the most remarkable heat she had ever felt. It was a pleasure that the locals took for granted.

On the horizon, land appeared, growing larger as the small vessel surged towards it. She enjoyed being on the ship, but looked forward to stepping onto the firm soil of the docks. She turned around, looking upon the massive red sail that gripped the wind in its folds. She looked forward to her first step on Fire Nation soil. She hoped the war would be less evident than it was in the Earth Kingdom. Still, she was excited. A new nation, full of sights and wonders! She could hardly contain herself as she returned her gaze to the distant shore, her destination.

[You'll be getting one soon enough. Smile]

[I find it a bit odd, however, that everyone's characters seem to detect everything going on around them. The slightest glance or nod, to sounds, and I fear that I will pretty much be the only one taking hits or being trapped.]

Sailors leapt off the ship and onto the pier, catching the ropes thrown to them. They set to work, tying down the ship.

Finally, passengers were allowed off, and Nhala was more than happy to depart the ship. She was beaming as she walked down the peir. Small fire nation flags waved at the far side of the pier, and she watched them flutter in the wind.

The pier ended, and a road began. Nhala had stopped, looking down. She closed her eyes, preparing herself, and reopened them, taking her first official step onto the land of the Fire Nation.

She picked up the edge of her dress, and ran up the road. She came to the top of a hill, and stopped, catching herself on a tree as she looked out over a small town. The view was breathtaking. She couldn't wait to see what sights and sounds this teeming nation had. And with that, she set down the road.

The town was bustling with activity as Nhala entered the village square. The market teemed with merchants and citizens alike, all working to make a living.

Nhala proceeded through the crowd until she came upon an inn. She stepped inside into the desolate lobby, and walked up to the front desk. "Hello?" she asked. No answer. She called again, and sighed, resigning herself to wait by the window. Minutes passed as she watched the market, until a plump man walked in from the back room.

"Oh, hello there, miss. I didn't hear you come in. Could I help you with something?"Nhala rose, and bowed, "Yes, you may. I'd like a room for the night, please."

"Certainly," He scratched his short, brown beard, "That'll be six peices." Nhala stepped up and handed him the money. He raised one of the coins to examine it better, "Water Tribe money. Interesting. You've come a long way."

"Yes, I have." She smiled calmly, "Where would my room be?"

"Upstairs. End of the hall, second door on your left."

"Thank you." She bowed, and headed up the stairs.

Nhala was unpacking her things from the small bag she had brought along. The sun was shining, and she planned on checking out the market once she was done settling in. Voices and footsteps out in the hall were quite audible.

‘The neighbors are loud.’ She thought to herself.

The door crashed open, causing her to spin around as four fire nation soldiers stepped in, “Grab her.” One ordered.

She struggled to break free as they picked her up. Her fists collided against one soldier’s armor before her free hand was grabbed, and bound to the other hand. Promptly, she was carried out of the room, and down the hallway, to towards the front entrance of the inn.

She kept up her struggles, yelling defiantly as they entered the streets. The inn keeper, she saw, cowered behind his desk, and much of the market’s street turned to watch the scene.

She could do nothing to break free of the soldier’s grasp as she was carried on his shoulder down the street. Nothing she could do to break free, to escape. Her struggles ceased, and she resigned herself to her capture.

[Nhala is in a different town, so you won't be seeing her just yet.]

Blank walls surrounded Nhala as she waited in a dark room. A single candle provided light to her otherwise bleak room. Heavy footsteps approached, and the lock on the metal door opened.

A tall, spindly man strode in. He wore a long, black robe with a red mantle. His face was thin, and bony. He stepped up to the table she sat at, and took his place opposite her.

“Hello, my name is Administrator Zhou. What is yours, young lady?” He asked coyly.

She hesitated, glancing at his eyes, “Nhala.” She answered.

“A pretty name, for such a lively girl. You put on quite a show in the marketplace today.” He brought his hands together as he leaned forwards, “But tell me, what is a member of the Water tribe doing here?”

“I’m traveling.” She answered, “I haven’t done anything wrong.”

“On the contrary, my dear Nhala,” He smirked, “You don’t have any papers.”

She didn’t reply, “You need the appropriate papers to enter the Fire Nation.” He leaned back in his chair, “A lack of papers can get you into serious trouble.”

“What are you going to do to me?” She inquired in an angered voice.

“You will be sent back to where you came from. In other words, you will be deported.” He paused, “Where are your parents, child?”

“They aren’t accompanying me on my trip.”

“Ah, so they must still be at the North or South Pole, correct?”
“Earth Nation.” She looked away.

The Administrator frowned, and rose, reaching across the table to grab her wrist, “I don’t like being lied to, little girl.” He let go, “But, if you say they are in the Earth Kingdom, then that is where you will be deported to.” He stepped towards the door.

“Wait!” She reached out a hand, as if to catch his sleeve, “What about my belongings?” She asked worriedly.

“They will be returned to you intact. I will personally see that everything is retrieved from your room.”

“Even the money?” She inquired.

“Even the money.” He opened the door.

“Thank you.” She grumbled. He glanced at her before he stepped into the hallway, and closed the door behind him.

[I understand. Thanks for clearing it up. I have thus removed my comment. I just worry as it is hard to find a good RP these days. However, with the sight moving, will this RP remain? Or will it be starting over?]

Nhala sat in the dark room, her head on the table as she waited. The door swung open, and a guard walked in, her possessions in tow. Nhala rose, “Is that everything?” She inquired.

“Yes. You will be escorted to the docks in five minutes. Be ready by then.” He exited the room, closing the door behind him. No footsteps were heard. He was standing at the door.

Nhala sorted through her bag, and her belongings. Nothing appeared to be missing. That was good.

She set to folding her clothes and began placing her things into the bag, her clothes on top. Soon, everything was nice and neat, and she tightened the cord on the bag. She walked to the door and knocked.

The guard opened it, and began to walk down the hallway. She followed promptly. She was about to be free of this bleak place. But she couldn’t escape being deported. If she ran, she’d become a criminal. Her upbringing spoke poorly of criminals.

Sunshine. A light ocean breeze. The guard walked her to the docks, and another guard escorted her to the boat. It was a larger boat, far sturdier than the wooden commercial ship she had arrived on. She stepped up the ramp, and onto the metal deck.

She sat down, placing her bag beside herself, and stared sadly over the ocean.

"Wait!" Kunai raced to the docks, made difficult by the broad swords loosely bouncing on her side.

"Royal consort Kunai? What are you doing here?" one of the guards pried as she aproached the bridge to the ship.

"This boat... it's going the the earth kingdom?" she asked through her pants, bending over and graspin her knees.

"Yes. It's deporting a watertribe woman to the Earth Nation of all place." said the gurard slowly.

"I'm going too. The firelord granted me leave and this is the first ship leaving for a week." she said, regaining her breath and resting her hands on her hips.

"We can have a ship leave sooner if-"

"I AM GOING ON THIS SHIP!" she demanded. Her large purple eyes glowed with fire. Though normally childish her eyes could strike fear into a normal man's heart. He knew from his experience with her during training. They had never really "clicked". She was always berating him about his smart mouth and not being motivated while she was kind and soft when she corrected the others.

"Yes. Kunai." he ground out. She smiled sweetly and boarded the ship. Kunai walked right up to Nhala.

"Hello. I'm Kunai, the firelords consort and the royal trainer. You're going to the Earth Kingdom? Well I've got vacation time and i need to get out of here. I hope you won't mind." Her courtesy was impecable though she was a royal. Nhala smiled nervously.

"Of course it's ok. It's an honor to travel with you." she bowed. Kunai placed a hand on her shoulder laughing.

"No need to bow, girl. What's your name?" she said kindly giggling.

"Nhala. If you don't mid me asking what do you plan to do in the Earth Kingdom?" Kunai's face suddenly sombered and she turned to face the ocean, turning her head away and letting her black hair cover her face.

"Let's just say I'm visiting a friend. There's not much more I can tell."
