First topic message reminder :

Harbor in the Earth kingdom

((OOC: Not really too sure what's going in this story board but what better way to find out then by posting here and seeing what's going on. I noticed the Avatar going to the earth nation so I shall start there and meet her if she does not mind))

Warm air crept it's way into the large mans lungs. Sweat ran down the back of his neck. His massive sword dragged across the floor ever so slightly as he changed his stance. His body felt hot from being in such close proximity with the incoming balls of hot flames.

"Listen here Earth Bender!!" A fire nation soldier barked

"If you give up now we'll just imprison you. But if continue to resist then we will be forced too kill you" The fire nation soldier continued.

Five fire nation soldier stood in a line, there closed fists pointed towards the Earth bender. There polished armor was slightly damaged, cracks and chinks in the plates were clear to the eye.

The they focused there gaze at a man that stood at 7 feet in height. His body was complete tower of heavy, dense muscle. Each muscle in his body stuck out in powerful form combined with definition that made almost each muscle fiber visible. With almost no excess body fat and standing at seven feet in height this mans pumpkin sized shoulders were at least 3 feet apart.
This man had long, unkempt black hair followed by a red head band that kept his hair away from his face.
This man wore no shoes but he wore a coat and pants. His left arm was surrounded in silver armor while his right arm was holding a massive sword that was as big as this man was.

"My name is Naraca, not Earth Bender" He told the fire nations soldier in a calm yet harsh voice.

Naraca looked upon the fire nation soldiers, he admired there confidence considering that Naraca had already beaten so many of the soldiers that these five men were with.
15 other soldiers lay on the floor either unconscious or curled up in a ball in pain. To Naraca right was the ocean, he was currently standing by the harbor. Several civilians watched the battle take place.

The fire nation soldier's eyes narrowed and he took a wider stance. He took Naraca's reply as a way of saying that he was not going to submit to them.
"Men, it looks like the Earth bender is not going to comply" The fire nation soldier said with a smile.
The other soldiers took wider stances and focused on Naraca.

Naraca stayed where he was and he waited for the soldiers to attack, as he knew they would.

There was a pause, the soldiers stared at Naraca with nothing but intensity in there eyes. Whereas Naraca was much calmer, his stance was normal, as if he was talking with someone.
The fire nations soldiers charged towards Naraca, the thrusted there fists forward, spew fire balls from the knuckles.
Naraca took a step forward and his lifted his right hand up, the ground suddenly sprouted up a wall which took the brunt of the fire balls.
The fire nation soldiers spread out and ran towards Naraca, moving around the wall.

Naraca dashed towards one of the soldiers. The soldier responded by shooting a fireball towards Naraca.
Naraca jumped to the side, avoiding it. Then he took three steps towards the soldier and he slammed his fist in the soldiers gut.
The soldier eyes widened and his body lifted up high from the ground, so high that he lauched up into the air, then landed in the water.
A second soldier ran to Naraca side, about to attack.
Naraca quickly shot his right leg toward the soldiers face, his foot rammed into the soldiers face, the helmet he wore littertly exploded from the impact. The soldiers face was now broken in several places as he was sent flying backwards, he hit the floor in a ravine. Rolling all over the place the soldier stopped rolling shortly, he was knocked out cold.

The last three soldiers all formed a line and they rapidly fired sevreal fireballs at Naraca.
Naraca quickly thrusted his hand forward, the soldiers on the right and left of the middle soldier both came in contact with a piller made of earth which hit there stomachs and sent them flying.

The last soldier did not back down, he placed both his hands together and he fired a massive ball of flames. this ball was at least ten feet tall and wide.

Naraca smiled and he slammed his sword into the ground and he pointed his closed fists at the fireball.
From the ground behind him a much bigger Earth made pilled shot out from in front of him and his collided with the fire ball in a massive explosion.
The earth piller was destroyed and the fireball faded into smoke.

As the smoke cleared Naraca charged towards the soldier and jumped in the air only hit the soldiers face with a hard knee.
The soldier slammed on the ground out cold.
Naraca looked down at the soldier for a moment then he looked up at the horizen the lead towards the city.

In the distance, Naraca heard the charging footsteps of more fire nation soldiers.

This was more than embarrassing..it was like her voice was being taken away from her. If she was able to trust them what was his problem with it? Kiara could handle herself and right now her face was becoming a slight shade of rose from being upset. This was absolutely the worst night she had had so far, worse than Azula attacking her and Mattias back in his home village.

When his voice got threatening to her friend that practically saved her life and was going to be her fire bending teacher enough was enough. But before she could even open her mouth Cerelia chipped in as well about his attitude and what he was doing. This was beginning to be a little too much for her and that was the last straw.

Without saying another word after Terra went in the back the girl opened the front door and slammed it behind her running from that home as fast as she could. The girl nearly knocked down a woman who was walking with her husband and quickly apologized as she started running again. The last thing she wanted to be was found at the moment and right now she wasn't running in the wrong direction, Kiara was headed straight to Omashu on her own. There was no way that she would travel with people like that, people who were taking her voice away, argueing like she was not standing there, embarrassing her infront of people and just acting like complete fools. At the moment the only people she could talk to right now would be anyone but Naraca and Cerelia, that was a bit too much for her to handle.

I thought comrades were suppose to get along...this is not what I had in mind

Kiara ended up at the gates that lead to the outside of the city. If she was going to leave no this was her perfect chance. Mattias was leaving tonight anyway maybe for once she would let them solve their issue and she just go ahead with Mattias and meet them there. She bent down a bent catching her breath, that was a long hall she just ran and that was the first time Kiara ran at a regular speed. Her legs started shaking but her mind kept telling her to keep moving. But the long day started taking its toll on the Avatar. She was up this morning before dawn and had no chance to truely rest, not long after the thoughts her legs still managed to keep moving...she was leaving Ba Sing Se for now..

OOC: It was on the previous page, so yes, there IS a posting order. But it seems that people are about to scatter into other topics(?) so I think the posting order will change. Besides, if you want to be in the topic, it helps to be part of the events, and be in the area. Otherwise, if you are searching the city, I think that would warrant it's own topic, that the people/person you are looking for can then join,  or you can join theirs. But with the subject matter of your quest, I think you will end up in your own topic with Mattias, rather than joining a topic that is about to end by the looks of things.

OOC: I'm kindof going to slightly ignore your speech Cerelia... so I do apologize... but it helps me exit the post.

IC:

As Naraca made his speech, Mattias' face hardened. He wasn't concerned so much over Naraca crushing the coin. The coin itself was near indestructible, however the symbolism behind the action was clear enough. When Naraca finished Mattias looked directly at him, something he hadn't done yet. In that single instant the air in the room seemed to stand still. Mattias brought his hand to his sword, not drawing it. The temperature in the room seemed to raise. A cold hard fury awakened inside of Mattias. In creating a line, Naraca had crossed one. Mattias' eyes bore directly into Naraca's skull.

"You have no idea who you are dealing with..." There was no more humor, there was no calm to his face. He radiated complete and utter power. At the same time there was a level of control, of restraint.

Then in a single move he brought then coin and snapped it through the air. The coin became a blur that slipped past Naraca and landed next to Kiara.

"I take my leave." He spun on the spot and walked to the door. As he placed his hand on the knob he stopped. And turned to face them. He looked at each of them before finally turning to Naraca again.

"If I find that you in any way interfere with the avatar's mission..." Then he turned and walked through the door letting the threat hang in the air.

-----

Stepping outside he looked up at the sun. He breathed in the fresh air, glad to be free of the house. The avatar would have her hands full with that one.

"And the man continues the journey which has been laid out before him."

Nhala rose from her chair, and walked to the hallway. Pausing, she turned back to the living room and bowed. "I am going to bed. Good night, everyone." She slipped into the bathroom, where running water could soon be heard as the door closed.

Having disrobed, Nhala sunk into the water and drew the curtain shut. With the living room debate drowned out by the running water, Nhala submerged her her head up to her nose and laid back to stare at the ceiling. She was fed up with the argument. No one seemed to be able to be civil, and everyone was direct and in one anothers' faces. A room full of strangers. All but two were from the Earth Nation.

She had the impression that the citizens of this country were rough and uncivilized, incapable of holding a pleasant conversation. Why couldn't they be like her tribesmen back home? They had always been friendly and compassionate. They were civil and understanding. If there was a secret someone was hiding, it was primarily up to their family to deal with it, and release that information to their friends and neighbors if they chose.

Nhala closed her eyes as the water's heat soaked into her skin. The bath felt great, but the night's event distracted her, and she continued playing it through her mind until she could find peace with it.

Minutes later, she gave up, and finished washing. The water drained, and Nhala stood up, drying herself off, and, very carefully with towel wrapped around herself, darted across the hallway so as not to be seen. Her room's door closed quietly as she began straightening her hair and slid into bed.

Naxx-Ja had finished listening in when Mattias stated he was leaving. Naxx sifted off the roof, all the information he needed was written down on pen and paper. His target, Mattias took his leave, and Naxx followed by rooftop. Although, just as he began to get anywhere, one of his thugs inturupted him. Ja gave the messenger a dirty look, then signaled him to hand over a message the thug was carrying. As the messenger did this, Naxx continued to watch Mattias mutter something to himself.

The letter stated a bunch of information Ja already knew about, but the words next stop, Omashu seemed to leap right off the page. Naxx saluted to the messenger, handing him a tip of extra pocket change.

"This'll be FUN!"
Naxx-Ja chuckled once out of earshot. He bounded from roof to roof, in constant presuit of his prey, he just needed one more piece of information.

What's in Omashu?

OOC: Well, sadly, I'm not sure what to do. I could either follow Kiara or stay, but I remember you saying that I shouldn't come back, and that's enforced now more than ever. Since my witty reply and monologue didn't get the responce I thought it would, i have no clue how to continue. Feel free to skip. If I get kicked out of the house, big deal. Not like Naraca or anyone else could escort her home. lol Though surely they would've noticed that she stayed with them all night and day (and apparently night again). That's gotta mean something.

(OOC: can i join? if not i will just delete the post if i can't. i hope i don't mess up the posting order.)

As Sven and his bison, Mr. Duck, fly around, looking for something, not sure what, just that he will know it when he sees it, a shocking conclusion hits him; he's lost!

"Well, that will teach me to fly over a giant city. I guess that will teach me to fly around the Earth Kingdoms largest city."

He laughs at himself as he feeds Mr Duck some leaves as he searches for a house that seems like a good place to ask for directions.

"Well, a house is still a house, so I guess it doesn't matter which one. What do you think, Mr Duck?"

His giant air bison just grunts as he flies to the house that used to have the avatar in it.

He knocks on the door as he waits for a response.

Tan-ko shook his head at Naraca, watching terra leave. "Naraca you are fool! You will never be able to protect the avatar likeyou say you have vowed if you do not learn her better! I have only just met her and see she is a kind hearted, trusting young woman. You on the other hand trust no one and try pushing people away from her. You truly think she will want you near her?" the king asked with a frown before turning away. "We will now take our leave of your home. Think on what I said fool." he said before following Terra outside and walking towards her, placing his hands on her shoulders. "Are you allright my dear?"

((OOC: I'll pull out a post soon enough, but right now I' am just so pissed, the biggest punch the face just happened. I was writing the post right, probably one of the best posts I've written, so much so that it literally took me a grand total of four hours to do. This thing was probably the best, and the most longest post I've written, but when I was just about finished, my finger must have clicked some sort of key. You wanna know what happened next? The key I typed made me some how hit the back arrow that lets you go back to the page you were just on before the one your on now, deleting the WHOLE POST.
I tried writing the post again but I got so pissed that every time I started typing I got more and more enraged, I mean you have no idea...At all...How much heart and soul I put into this post.
This is me typing what just happened too me just a minute ago, I'm still super pissed, to point to where I actually feel like I need to publicly post just how angry I' am right now.
This is a four hour long post were talking here, each word had such deep emotion that took me FOREVER too make. Yet now with a single slip, it's all gone just like that.
Believe me I would love too post but I' am in no way in the state of mind to do it right now, so if your looking at the date as too when I posted this post, just know that it will be a day or two from when the hell ever I posted this piece of crap.
So yeah, this is just a post, of me telling you that I will soon. I really...really...REALLY just can't right now, you may or may not have no idea just how pissed I' am. I'm holding back a hell of a lot of swear words right now just so ya know. If I let any out then at some point in this post cause God knows I'm not really paying attention too what I'm typing, then I' am sorry for that. I just had too get this out and at this point time there is no one, so here I' am...Typing out my rage like a total idiot instead of actually just retyping the post like someone with some common sense.

So sorry for the inconvenience, but regardless of my rant, I'll post soon is what I'm saying. So just go and read a book or go play video games and just wait another day or two for me too post. I should be fine by then. ))

((OOC: Sorry pinecone, but your post has so many holes in it, too many for my post to fill. I gotta just pass it, I mean for one thing, how did you know where the Avatar was if you just said you were lost? When did you know where she was staying? Look you can still be a part of the RP but that post just has too many problems with it))

A frown carved it's way down Naraca's cheeks, his words fell upon def ears. He tried too get through too Cerelia, but got back only her version of fighting fire with fire. That reply had settled it though, she was not staying in the house any longer. That much was certain, regardless of what she thought Naraca still had the rights to his own house. She could still join the Avatar's quest if Kiara wanted her too, but Cerelia wouldn't be coming back in Naraca's house any longer for a rest break. In other words, due to her lack of an answer, she'd be sleeping outside from now on.

For a moment Naraca began to think on how this decision would impact the group as a whole, would they see Naraca as someone who is separating the chaff from the wheat and making sure everyone was useful, or would they just see him as a barbaric and selfish man?
Regardless, this was something he felt he had too do, he wasn't going too keep Cerelia in the house any longer.

He took a step towards his front door, about to open it so Cerelia could leave, however, something happened. Something Naraca could have never comprehended or understood.
For some reason, he caught the brief scent of a woman's hair, it had a wonderful essence too it. However this scent did not put a smile on Naraca's face, it put a face of dread. The last time he smelled a scent like this was when...

Ringing started too echo through out Naraca's ears, his eyes stared at the front door, his face looking shocked, but also cold and empty. As he did, he saw Kiara...his friend...Run out the front door with a look in her cool blue eye's that sent a chill running up Naraca's spine.
Where was Kiara going? Out too get some supplies? Maybe she wanted to step out and take a quick breather?

These thoughts were Naraca's brains attempt at protecting itself from emotional harm, it started to force Naraca to think of a light, and gentle reason why she went outside.
However, Naraca suddenly felt a sharp pain on his chest, he grimaced before placing his right hand on the left side of his chest. It hurt, but he felt no wound, only scars...So many scars...
None of the scars were recent though, none of them felt like an open wound like how this pain felt.

The image of a human heart suddenly popped in his head, followed by a piece of it being torn away. The ringing in his ears prevented him from hearing anything that Mattias, or Tan-ko may have said.
As he stood there, with his eyes wide and his face looking grim, he felt a tightness around his left ring finger. Followed by seeing the image of a woman with jet black hair and wearing a wedding dress.

Her face however was Kiara's face, only the eye's were blood red, and were crying tears of blood.
After seeing this Naraca inhaled sharply in something that you would never see from him. Fear.
The pain he felt in his chest was not a wound on his skin, but an open wound on his Heart. He had just done the worse thing he could have ever imagined...He failed yet again...Making himself a failure in the process.

He was weak, he was not strong, nor fast, or quick, he was not a good earth bender and he was not the smartest guy either. Everything about him was flawed, and this was the most painful reminder of all.
As he kept his hand on his heart, he remembered the green robe that Nhala wore earlier this mourning...Followed by the smell of a woman, the scent that he got when his friend Kiara left him.

One by one, Kiara left, Terra left, Nhala left, Tan-ko left, and even Mattias left. As each one went else where, Naraca felt the ripping and the tearing of his heart getting torn apart. Once they all left, only a very small piece remained. However Naraca had no idea what it represented anymore. He couldn't do anything right, he had failed everything up too this point.

For a brief moment, the ringing stopped, and Naraca was back in reality. Naraca looked back at Terra and Tan-ko for a moment with a face that was now as hard as stone, devoid of emotion and a total lack any feelings by his face.
He then looked to Cerelia for a moment before bending the earth too form a small pillar underneath the door frame of his front door. He bended the so that it would gentle open the front door.

"Go...And join the Avatar..." Naraca said softly too Cerelia, his voice carrying a somber tone.

Once Cerelia would leave, he would then simply bend the door shut, then turn around the walk down the end of the hall, too the green door that was his room.
With each step he took he heard nothing but silence, if anyone were too come and try to stop him he would simply keep walking, unaffected by any words they might say. As he walked down the hallway, he remembered how he failed to be a Dai Lee Agent, how he failed too protect his long lost wife, how he was forced too kill his own teacher because they both failed too stay away from fire benders, his failure in being a good earth bender, his failure in protecting Nhala, failure in beating Terra, failure in keeping the groups morale up and together, and failure in being Kiara Guardian.

All of these...Failures...All of these mistakes, he truly had lived the life of someone who could do nothing more then fail, or mess up. Naraca's life before the Avatar was nothing, just picking fight with the Fire Nation here and there, nothing with meaning...Nothing with purpose.

Once Naraca entered his room, he closed the door, forgetting to lock it he took of his sword and simply dropped it on the ground instead of resting it on a stand where it was normally placed. He also pulled off the red head band that he normally wears too keep his long hair away from his face, causing the black curtain's too fall and cover the side of his face, as well as cover the front of his face a little bit.
He sat down on his bed, not doing anything at all about Kiara...His friend. He simply let her go. There was no hope left in Naraca anymore, just an empty shell of a man now.

He sat down in his bed, simply in thought now. No longer thinking of a reason for going on as he was doing before, now he was just simply sitting there...Doing nothing...
This was not the end of Naraca, but he just didn't know how the story would go on anymore. He thought mostly about the past now, and all the things he did wrong in his life.

PostSubject: Re: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 9 Icon_minitimeSun Oct 30, 2011 10:47 am

Terra crossed her arms just staying outside, there was a warm gentle breeze and it seemed to calm her down taking away any anger or frustration she had towards anyone. Her ears caught Tan-ko's words from inside and merely shook her head, Naraca was hard headed for one. No matter what you said to him he was going to do what he felt right. It was noble for him to do that but she felt as if there was always a time and place to be stubborn and now was definitely not the time.

"Fool isn't how I would sum Naraca up as dear." Her green eyes looked up at her husband after turning to face him. A simple small smile was on her face, "He is a very...complex man, he has many sides to him. Its just....he hasn't mourned enough for the loss of his wife that he is trying to protect the Avatar so much he is practically smothering her...and that is not whats needed."

Terra kissed Tan-ko's cheek before walking inside, stopping at the door she looked back at him, "I do not want to take leave yet, I am going to stay here for the night. We are leaving in the morning I am sure..you go home and get some rest...I'll stop by before we leave to say goodbye."

With that her feet guided her down the hall but looked at Cerelia and Nhala, "I apologize for his actions, Cerelia if you could could you...maybe go after Kiara? I mean I dont like the idea of her traveling alone." Her back then turned and started down the hall she already knew which room he was in hence her gift so Terra opened the door, slipped in and shut it lightly before leaning against the door itself.

"The Avatar just needs space...from all of us, I know you cannot take orders for me anymore but Kiara wants you to stay. You just are..smothering her. You treat her more like an item than a person. That no one would like, so understand her pain as well. We need to go to Omashu, there have been rumors that fire nation soldiers are on their way to the city.."

Terra looked up at him even though she could not see his face, "Would you want another person you hold close to you to become a victim of their slaughter?"

OOC: Sure, I guess we can do that. I thought it was someone else's turn to post? Guess I'm now used to a huge crowd in the thread.

IC: Nhala sleeps in the bed. The sheets are cool, and the window is cracked open a bit. The noise from the living room seeps in, muffled by the walls and door. The anger, frustration, and sadness are evident in the voices beyond. Nhala shifts in her sleep, rolling over. Her rest is fitful, and light. Even in her sleep, she is taunted by a problem, eating away at her peace.

PostSubject: Re: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 9 Icon_minitimeThu Nov 03, 2011 11:30 pm

Everyone began to leave, either going outside or to other rooms. Since her target had left, there was no point staying here. She'd track and follow Kiara to the ends of the earth just to get her revenge. her father needed it.

Cerelia stood up, grabbed her bag, and began walking towards the front door. Naraca had stopped just in front of it, but didn't reach for the door handle. Cerelia knew what he was doing. Earth form at the bottom of the metal door and the door swung open. But before Cerelia left, he told her to follow the Avatar. Cerelia stopped and looked at him for a moment. She was surprised.

Cerelia stepped through the door and it closed. She looked up at the cloud filled sky and stepped down the stairs and off his property. She turned right, and began walking down a street.

What had she just witnessed? Was it sadness that the Avatar left him? Failure to protect her? Stop her? Or was he unable to? Whatever the reason, his eyes said that he'd given up. Cerelia kind of felt sorry for him.

"No!" she refused to admit that. "It's better this way."

'Without reenforcements, the Avatar will be easier to defeat.' the thought to herself. 'The fewer people with her, the better my chances. Even Nhala would make the effort to defy my revenge.'

'The Desert Fox will get the job done, no matter who he has to hurt to do it.' With the outfit and persona of the Desert Fox, she was able to move around without being caught. If people chased after the Desert Fox, she'd hide and become Cerelia again. It was perfect, as long as she didn't get caught.

Cerelia looked around for signs of life or people in the alleyways and nearby streets. So far, nothing. Cerelia sighed and looked back at the wall she was walking towards. She entered one of the poorer districts and kept her guard up. She entered one of the markets and hid. Staying in the shadows, she made her way through and reached the wall.

She looked up at it and looked for handholds. There were none. She looked back, beyond the stalls and examined the shadows. No movement. She made sure she was concealed and used her eathbending to seperate the stone. She created an entrance just three feet wide and seperated the stone deeper in the wall. She stepped in and brought the stone back into place.

Now it was pitch black. Not a single dot of light. She continued to face forwards and seperated the stone, again and again until light finally poured in.

She stepped out and brought the stone back into place. Once the wall looked proper, she raise the dirt and began speeding towards the outer wall. Left, right, left, right. She pushed off with her sand bending.

Once she reached the outer wall, she collected more dirt and began rising into the air. The pillar resisted falling apart, and she slowed herself to check on the sentries on duty. They were attentive tonight, and it wouldn't be as easy to get out as it was to get in. She broke off two small chunks of a turret and chucked them to her left and right. The rocks clattered to a stop and the sentries averted their eyes to check on the sound. The two nearest guards moved and she puleed herself up, boosting herself up with her pillar of dirt and quietly ran across the wall and jumped down without looking.

She skidded along the wall and brought dirt to meet her. She began to slow down, but it wasn't enough. She formed the dirt into a slope and she landed with a thud and rolled into the trees. Laying on the ground, she scattered the dirt and concealed herself. She leaned against a tree and checked herself for damage. She felt a sharp sting on her left side, between the fourth and fifth ribs. She rose her shirt and looked more carefully. It was just a scrape. She must've brought some rocks to the surface when she formed the slope. Nothing major. She'd rest for a few minutes and move on to a safer place.

The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 9 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 9 Icon_minitimeMon Nov 07, 2011 4:50 am

Darkness clouded over the room Naraca had settled himself in. He staying
sitting down, his head hung and his large, scared hands were on his
knees. His skin on his hands were tanned, he always walked around
without a shirt in order to toughen his skin and force it too become
resistant to all forms of punishment. He remembered training by his
former teacher Romulus, the man would cut open Naraca's palms then force
him too swing a massive sword around for hours at a time. For some reason these memories hit him, Romulus, the man who taught Naraca the way of the titan sword and the mountain shattering hand to hand combat that he knows.

There was no sound, only a deep silence. His mind wondered, letting random thoughts and images flood his brain, his heart already began to numb. There was no feeling anymore, and his brain already was trying too forget the pain, and scar over the injury as always.
However Naraca did not allow this, he almost forced himself to remember the pain, and remember the failure that he was. The battle scars that surrounded his body were reminders of his failures in life, he had always done everything wrong.

Light shined down on Naraca's face for a moment, his hair provided a good shade for it though. He looked up for a moment too see who it was. He did not see there face but he knew who it was. Her small figure made it obvious.

He looked back down at the ground though as soon as he recognized her. He did not really care anymore, a part of him was hoping to have Terra scold him for his selfishness and failures. He almost wanted her too tell him that he was a screw up as a human being so that he could better accept it, then slowly die as a waste of a soul.

Sounds escaped from her lips, sounds that for some reason, made the image of a heart laying on a red bloody floor come up in his head.
The more she spoke though, the more this heart started to beat. However she told him that he was suffocating Kiara, just a reminder of his failure. He didn't feel any better though when Terra just gave him a word for what his failure was. His constant screw ups were just hitting him in the face again.

She mentioned fire nation soldiers that were coming. Naraca felt a smile come on his face, not because that was funny, but because that at this point he already felt worthless. So even if they were coming, what could he do about it? Terra was trying to help him somehow, but so far all this did was just remind of how little he could do. Was she actually trying to ask Naraca to fight these soldiers? It was almost laughable since Naraca was already such a worthless fighter. At the moment, there was no will to go on for him, he felt happier just sitting on his bed right now and not doing anything.

"Would you want another person you hold close to you to become a victim of their slaughter?"

Naraca's eyes widened open as a sudden flurry of images rushed into his head. An image of his wife, being tortured and killed by the fire nation while he was forced to watch. A image of himself killing Romulus, his master because the Fire nation demanded it or else they would both be killed, an image of Kiara suddenly appeared, she was being held down by a large man, and a woman who was laughing maniacally while the big man was slowly crushing her with his foot.

An image of him standing alone on a mountain while looking down at a burning city was holding on in his mind. He looked as though he had just come from a battle. The bodies of Kiara, Terra, Nhala, Cerelia, Tan-ko, and Mattias all laid down behind him, just dead on the ground.
However in front of him, were his parents. His father, who was 7, 2 looked down at Naraca. While his mother looked slightly up at Naraca with a gentle smile. His Father had a look of pride for his son.

Naraca looked upon himself in the image, and saw that his eyes were moist, but with a smile. While Naraca was not actually tearing up, in the image he saw, he was about to cry, but with a smile on his face.
After Naraca saw this, he then saw that the dead bodies of his comrades were no longer laying down, but standing up, and glowing slightly amongst the dark sky.

Naraca then looked up at Terra, he was silent for a moment. Then he brushed his hair away from face, with what appeared to be a determined look on his face. He nodded his head at her.

"Alright Terra..." He said too her while looking in her eyes. Not calling her what he would always call her.

His heart no longer began to ache, but felt like some life was getting pumped back into it. Naraca may have been a failure...However...He was not a quitter.

"I get it, and I'll stay strong for now. Despite my weakness, I could never live with myself knowing I just sat here like another failure" He said, while looking back down at his hands again.

"My body will continue to fight so long as I remain alive. So for the Avatar, I will try and succeed at least once in my life" He told her in an honest, and sincere voice.

Naraca wasn't really sure how much he could do as a failed human being, but at least he could try to do something. He had lost far too much from the fire nation already. It was simply impossible for a man like Naraca to admit defeat, he would always keep trying, always keep fighting. That's how so many failures came up in the first place, because even as someone who could never do anything right, he always kept trying. While he always failed, he never quit.

Standing up, Naraca walked over to Terra a little bit to better face her.

"There's a spare room beside the one Nhala is staying in." He told her while looking way down at her.

He focuses on his Seismic sense for a moment and did not feel Tan-ko's presence anywhere. So therefore either he had to leave in a hurry, or Terra told him to leave, or perhaps asked him so she could stay here. If that was the case, Naraca wanted to give her the option to stay here.

"I'm going to find Kiara once it becomes dawn, I could use your help in finding her and fighting any fire nation soldiers we come across" He said with a determined look on his face.

He then smiled at her suddenly.

"Besides, I'm pretty weak on my own, but we'd make a hell of a team if we together. I'll be sure carry my own weight and not drag you down to much" He said in a hearty, and joking like tone. In an attempt to lighten the heavy mood.

"What do ya say, you wanna help me find the Avatar?"

For the first time in a long time, Naraca did not feel he was in Darkness, but in Light.

Terra continued to lean against the wall, the long silence was actually good because for once she finally knew that this silence was on of pondering. What she had said had no doubt settled in Naraca's heart and mind, it was now giving him a new...ray of light and hope about this world. She then heard her name and Terra's head snapped back up looking at him with a small smile."I already knew there was a spare room here anyway, I have been here before haven't I?"

She laughed a little before he mentioned her joining the team. It was hard to take in, meeting the Avatar and her requesting that Terra of all people help her learn the ways of earth bending. Then this more than averaged sized man was asking for her to team up with him as well. Terra finally knew what she was suppose to do to help the world.

"Of course I will join you! Weigh me down? I mean..you are a big guy, so you'll have to walk on your own two feet. Otherwise you'll crush me to the ground...not just bring me down." She laughed a bit more before smirking. "I'll be up before Dawn anyway..I do have to tell my husband good-bye."

(im gonna skip to the morning so Nhala can post something before we all move to the next topic : ) is that okay with everyone? )

Terra was already up and ready to go, a smile was on her face. Last night she was dressed in formal clothes and now she was wearing her more comfortable attire for fighting and traveling. Her hands were resting on her hips as she bowed respectfully to Nhala and Naraca.

"Morning...everyone ready to go?"

OOC: Unfortuantely, I have my own... plans before morning. It's been two posting cycles in the making. :/ So sorry, Terra. :c

IC: Nhala stirred, and opened her eyes, watching the shadow on the wall. The house was quiet. Had everyone gone to sleep?

Her heart felt heavy, like there was twice, maybe three times as much gravity pulling it down. The stress made it hard to sleep. Even after the hour or two of sleep, her patience was thin. How had it come to this? Her first day in Ba Sing Se had a few problems, sure, but despite being injured, the city's life was enjoyable. It must ahve been the arena. That's where it all went downhill, and plummeted off the metaphorical cliff.

She had seen sides of people that she hadn't expected, and it stressed her out. She clenched her eyes shut and grimaced, shaking slightly. The stress was getting to her, and suffocating her. She needed to escape from it, and strike out on her own.

She slid out of bed and fixed the sheets to their proper position. She took off the nightgown and folded it across the foot of the bed, and rummaged through her bag for her clothes, found them, and slipped into them.

Minutes later, she opened the window, dropped her bag out, and paused, listening to the sounds of the house. Nothing. Her mind drifted for a moment, and the comforts of a warm house and bed, and people to talk to came to her. She shook her head. She needed to leave, for her own sanity, and to ease her stress.

Carefully, she stepped out of the window, and onto the grass. She quietly closed the window, and shouldered her bag. A look around the yard, and Nhala tiptoed to the open gate, easing between the gate and the wall.

She glanced once more at the house, half-expecting to see Naraca dashing out to retreive her, or perhaps watch her go. No signs of him. Nhala sighed, partly out of sadness that he did not, and partly out of relief that she was escaping the problem without further complications.

Walking down the road of the Upper District, Nhala whispered to herself. "Good bye, Naraca." Her whisper was barely audible over the crickets chirping in the night.

PostSubject: Re: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 9 Icon_minitimeTue Nov 08, 2011 8:40 pm

((OOC: Lord help me shorten my posts...))

No sleep tonight for the giant...Even if he felt a new ray of hope, it was impossible for him to sleep, or even relax in any shape or form. So, his mind wondered for hours. He mostly thought about things like "What am I going to say to Kiara once I see her?" Or "Will everyone ever forgive me?" He even thought of "Could my situation with Cerelia ever change?"
Most of all though he was unaware of what he would once he ran into Kiara again. He had time however to reflect upon how he treated her wrong, he treated her like an object and was so focused on protecting her body that he forgot to protect her from himself. Meaning that in the end, it was Naraca that hurt her, and not everyone else. So the first thing he would have to do is put himself on a leash, while taking her's off.

That was what he needed to do first, let her go some more. Afterwards, he'd have to find a way to make it up to everyone else in the group.

Foot steps vibrated through out the ground, catching Naraca off guard and interrupting his train of thought. His Seismic Sense made it easy too detect where it was coming from, and who it was. He walked over too his bedroom door and could feel that it was Nhala, leaving her room and climbing out through the window. Naraca felt himself want to open his door, however he did not. Why? Because Naraca already knew why she was leaving.

She went to bed only to escape from the stress that he was causing, however it was just ruse so that when everyone went to bed, she would sneak out and escape. Nhala's reasons for leaving were perfectly understandable, after what Naraca did, why wouldn't she leave? In the end Terra was the only one that stayed because of her history with him, and knowing him for all this time. Everyone else though was just a stranger, and none of them put up with his out burst. They all left because of him, Nhala was the only that didn't leave up until now. It was because he understood her reasons for leaving, that he did the hardest thing that he could do.

He let her go...

After she left her room and went outside, Naraca opened his door and walked over too Nhala's room, he wanted to see her leave first, as if his mind needed confirmation in order to comprehend that she was really leaving.
He felt her outside, and knew that she was walking through a road that he could probably still see her if he looked out the window she escaped from.
So, he walked inside Nhala's room. He almost felt bad again once he saw the bed was well made, and everyone was just as tidy as if she was never here.

He felt a sinking feeling in his stomach when he saw this, he almost felt her presence was still here, but there was no trace of it anymore. She could have left it the way it was, but instead she took the time to clean the place up. After seeing this he looked back to the window and he only saw his slightly open gate, she must have walked out through that space.
Naraca knew where it lead though, and he still felt her. He even felt her body turn to look back for a moment.

He dashed out from her room and too his backyard. Opening the window door and running through the yard. For some strange reason, he did not hear the sound of sloshing water from his pond.
As he ran through the yard, his stomach kept feeling heavy, his heart felt another piece be ripped from it. Difference though was that he understood perfectly why. This wasn't going to stop him, but he was however going to remember this as another failure.

Once he was in front of his wall he used his mighty strength to jump high up and on top of the wall, where he could see most of the Upper Class district. He saw a few people here and there who were walking out late at night, however he saw nobody in a water tribe outfit.
He continued to look for her, almost desperate, he knew that stopping her would be a bad idea, all he wanted to do was see her off. A flash back came into his mind for a moment, it was the time when Kiara ran away for the first time, and Nhala came too help out. Even though she only got during her time in the group, hurt by Naraca no less. Nhala was sort of like the little sister of the group, while she could not fight as far as Naraca knew, she always seemed happy. The fact she stayed as long as she did meant that she had a connection with everyone here. So then Naraca, who was ever the fool, only hurt her and then drove her away.

Looking around, he suddenly saw a woman in a blue water tribe outfit. He knew it was her. A large part of him wanted to perform one of his massive jumps and land right in front of her, in order to stop her. However, that would only make him a prison warden rather then a friend. So as a friend, he had to make the harder decision, and simply let her go.
He watched her as she walked away, Naraca's Seismic Sense could still feel her as well, judging by the feeling of each foot step, and the body language that came off of her. She was sad, but also wanted to leave. Was she sad because she didn't want to leave? Or sad because of what Naraca had done? While these thoughts haunted Naraca, he knew deep down that he had to let her go, otherwise she would in time, come to hate him.

He watched her as she walked away, his face looked sad, even though he understood, it was still heart breaking to watch yet another person leave from the group. He took a moment to reflect on Nhala, and remember her. As he did, he remembered his wife's green robe. He almost wanted to give it to Nhala before she left. However she was too far away now, and she was almost out of sight. So, there was only one small amount of words that needed to be spoken.

"Goodbye Nhala" His whispered too her, just before he could no longer see her.

After he said that, he looked in the direction where he last saw her for a moment, then he turned around, jumped off his wall, and walked back inside the house and in his room. Closing the backyard door before he left. As he did this, his head hung down, but he understood why she left, even if it did hurt him. Now, out of the large group, it was only Naraca and Terra left.
He waited in his room until the Sun rose, he did not sleep at all. However he was not tired, his emotions were a great stimulant.

Once he heard Terra's door open, he opened his door as well, his massive sword was equipped to his back. He saw Terra in her new clothes, however all he saw was just Terra. He looked towards Nhala's room, almost expecting her to walk out with a smile on her face. However, her door did not open. So Naraca looked to Terra and smiled, followed by nodding his head in the form of a bow to her.
She asked if "Everyone" was ready to go...

Naraca simply shook his head to her.

"Nhala had to leave..." He said to Terra in a somber, and regretful tone.

However, Naraca suddenly looked at Terra and his face didn't look sad at all. He was indeed still sad, but he was not going to keep up this pity party and let Terra keep worrying about him, he refused for this emotional crap to continue.
He walked towards his front door, and he looked back at Terra. One thing anyone would notice would be the bags under Naraca's eyes from the lack of sleep.

"Kiara probably headed over to Omashu, knowing her it shouldn't be to hard to spot her once we get there." He said to Terra in a normal voice, not sad or happy, just sorta there.

He opened his front door, letting Terra go first. Once she would go out, Naraca would then proceed to go outside and lock his door. He would then proceed to walk over to Omashu with Terra at his side.

Terra looked over at Nhala's door as soon as Naraca mentioned that she had to leave. Her hands set on her hip and shrugged just a bit. Nothing was felt from the news but regular sadness but then again Terra shrugged it off and smiled.

"There is a reason for everything, she'll be fine. The quiet ones are always the toughest."

She then looked up at his face and was in a slight shock he didn't catch any sleep. But then again with the night he had Terra probably wouldn't have caught any sleep either in this case.

"Make sure you rest up...now is not the time to be lacking sleep you know."

When he mentioned Kiara not being hard to find a laugh was next to come from Terra and a smug smile, "You sure about that? Mattias said he was going as well and I am very sure he is keeping a eye out on her much more keeping her company at least. So maybe this time she'll be just a elusive as he is."

Terra then looked at the door which was slung open and proceeded to leave Naraca's residence. Her body language was a bit anxious and excited seeing as she hadn't been able to leave the kingdom recently. This was going to be a very interesting adventure.
