First topic message reminder :

Harbor in the Earth kingdom

((OOC: Not really too sure what's going in this story board but what better way to find out then by posting here and seeing what's going on. I noticed the Avatar going to the earth nation so I shall start there and meet her if she does not mind))

Warm air crept it's way into the large mans lungs. Sweat ran down the back of his neck. His massive sword dragged across the floor ever so slightly as he changed his stance. His body felt hot from being in such close proximity with the incoming balls of hot flames.

"Listen here Earth Bender!!" A fire nation soldier barked

"If you give up now we'll just imprison you. But if continue to resist then we will be forced too kill you" The fire nation soldier continued.

Five fire nation soldier stood in a line, there closed fists pointed towards the Earth bender. There polished armor was slightly damaged, cracks and chinks in the plates were clear to the eye.

The they focused there gaze at a man that stood at 7 feet in height. His body was complete tower of heavy, dense muscle. Each muscle in his body stuck out in powerful form combined with definition that made almost each muscle fiber visible. With almost no excess body fat and standing at seven feet in height this mans pumpkin sized shoulders were at least 3 feet apart.
This man had long, unkempt black hair followed by a red head band that kept his hair away from his face.
This man wore no shoes but he wore a coat and pants. His left arm was surrounded in silver armor while his right arm was holding a massive sword that was as big as this man was.

"My name is Naraca, not Earth Bender" He told the fire nations soldier in a calm yet harsh voice.

Naraca looked upon the fire nation soldiers, he admired there confidence considering that Naraca had already beaten so many of the soldiers that these five men were with.
15 other soldiers lay on the floor either unconscious or curled up in a ball in pain. To Naraca right was the ocean, he was currently standing by the harbor. Several civilians watched the battle take place.

The fire nation soldier's eyes narrowed and he took a wider stance. He took Naraca's reply as a way of saying that he was not going to submit to them.
"Men, it looks like the Earth bender is not going to comply" The fire nation soldier said with a smile.
The other soldiers took wider stances and focused on Naraca.

Naraca stayed where he was and he waited for the soldiers to attack, as he knew they would.

There was a pause, the soldiers stared at Naraca with nothing but intensity in there eyes. Whereas Naraca was much calmer, his stance was normal, as if he was talking with someone.
The fire nations soldiers charged towards Naraca, the thrusted there fists forward, spew fire balls from the knuckles.
Naraca took a step forward and his lifted his right hand up, the ground suddenly sprouted up a wall which took the brunt of the fire balls.
The fire nation soldiers spread out and ran towards Naraca, moving around the wall.

Naraca dashed towards one of the soldiers. The soldier responded by shooting a fireball towards Naraca.
Naraca jumped to the side, avoiding it. Then he took three steps towards the soldier and he slammed his fist in the soldiers gut.
The soldier eyes widened and his body lifted up high from the ground, so high that he lauched up into the air, then landed in the water.
A second soldier ran to Naraca side, about to attack.
Naraca quickly shot his right leg toward the soldiers face, his foot rammed into the soldiers face, the helmet he wore littertly exploded from the impact. The soldiers face was now broken in several places as he was sent flying backwards, he hit the floor in a ravine. Rolling all over the place the soldier stopped rolling shortly, he was knocked out cold.

The last three soldiers all formed a line and they rapidly fired sevreal fireballs at Naraca.
Naraca quickly thrusted his hand forward, the soldiers on the right and left of the middle soldier both came in contact with a piller made of earth which hit there stomachs and sent them flying.

The last soldier did not back down, he placed both his hands together and he fired a massive ball of flames. this ball was at least ten feet tall and wide.

Naraca smiled and he slammed his sword into the ground and he pointed his closed fists at the fireball.
From the ground behind him a much bigger Earth made pilled shot out from in front of him and his collided with the fire ball in a massive explosion.
The earth piller was destroyed and the fireball faded into smoke.

As the smoke cleared Naraca charged towards the soldier and jumped in the air only hit the soldiers face with a hard knee.
The soldier slammed on the ground out cold.
Naraca looked down at the soldier for a moment then he looked up at the horizen the lead towards the city.

In the distance, Naraca heard the charging footsteps of more fire nation soldiers.

PostSubject: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Icon_minitimeSat Jul 02, 2011 5:48 pm

The sounds of the train's wheels grinding agaisnt the rock tracks was slightly comforting to Naraca. He knew that earthbenders were moving this train and in a way that let Naraca feel just a little bit safer.
Being an Earthbender, he was always told too trust his allies and stay strong in knowing that you have friends to keep you alive.
That was good for a while until he was discharged from the Dai Lee. Once upon a time Naraca was a Dai Lee agent. His bending was avarage and not at all firece or remarkable. However, what made him remarkable was his size and strength. Many agents tried to use brute force on Naraca but they all ended up on the ground and out cold. A small rumor went around for a while that Naraca's sheer muscle power was so intense that some would say that if he wanted too he could pick up the Great wall of Ba Sing Sae and toss it aside like a ragdoll.

This legend felt more like an insult then a complement. Naraca always took it as a joke. The reason why was because Naraca was not really an earth bender that would use the earth too his advantage. Naraca would focus more on using his sword or hand to hand combat. While barely useing his earthbending. The joke was that since Naraca's earthbending sucked he would just use his sword and fists too pretend like he knows what he's doing.
Naraca was a good earth bender, no doubt about that, but was he the best? Far from it. This was why Naraca was kicked out of the Dai Lee. His savage and strictly strength like way of fighting gave the Dai Lee a bad name, and for that he was stripped of his rank. However, because the Kingdom still respected him he was able too keep privlages the Dai Lee agents get. Such as the royal passport that he has. Or that he still has a house in what is basiclly the royalty section.

Listening to Kiara talk she spoke of someone named Terra. Another earthbender, one of the best...One...Of the best?

That's it!! It has too be true. Naraca's eye's widened as he heard Kiara talk about this. That was it. Why would a water bender be interested in some tournament? Water Benders are known too be peaceful people who are more violent free rather then wanting too watch people beat the crap out of each other.
Also now Kiara wanted Naraca and Nhala too join her in her "Jorney" This was all pointing to one critical conclusion.

Kiara was the Avatar.
No doubt about it. Naraca re adjusted the sword on his back and he looked at both Nhala and Kiara.
If Kiara's the Avatar then should he confront her with it now?
Turned his head to look out the window Naraca reconized the first class part of the city. Each house was decorted with a such regal nature. Gold Decor and large designs made the place a thing of beauty.

No, this was not the time confront Kiara with this infromation just yet.
Suddenly Naraca felt something warm and soft wrap around his rough skinned and scared hand.
Naraca looked towards his hand and saw Kiara was holding it. Her hand was small compared too Naraca's sasquacth sized hands.
Too her it must have felt like taking hold of sandpaper.
She wanted Nhala and himself too join her. There was no doubt that she was the Avatar.

Naraca was a little unsure though. From what he heard the journey that Avatar Aang went on was one of horror and constant attack. Too go on a journey like that was a tough decision. One that Naraca could not make on the spot.
For a moment Naraca looked too Nhala. Although he knew nothing about her he would not want Kiara to mindlessly drag innocent people like her into this without first seeing if that would want to.

Naraca was not ready too give an answer yet.

"Were here" Naraca said while hiding his suspsions.

"My house isen't too far from here" He said while getting up on his feet.

He then re adjusted the sword on his back then he began to walk towards the gate. Knowing that Kiara and Nhala would follow him, he walked down the stairs and through the streets. Passing houses and people who were dressed in ultra fancy clothing Naraca began too feel a little out of place with his rugged and beastly appearence.

Knowing Kiara and Nhala were close Naraca thought he would ask a question which he already knew the answer too.

"So Kiara, why are you interested in going too some underground tournament? A places like that is not very fitting for a water bender"
Naraca knew that Kiara was the Avatar and he that Kiara would not say she was the Avatar. Naraca was interested in what her cover story was. Or maybe she would just flat out say that she was the Avatar. Either way he was curious.

Kiara seemed to let go of their hands once she got a glimpse out the window of the city. Her eyes lit up as her face seemed to implant on the window of the train. She blushed embarrassed remembering the company that was with her but laughed a bit when they just seemed to smile.

"My excitement seems to get to be every time. I do apologize."

But what seemed to bother Kiara was not her actions but Naraca's facial expressions, the way she was able to read people sometimes were unrivaled. Having a weird feeling he was assuming that she was the Avatar Kiara did not think much about it. Her motto was always 'In time one will find out' and whether he wanted to join her on her journey was something that he had to decide for himself not her.

As soon as the doors of the train were opened Kiara jumped out and stretched while rubbing her left eye sleepily. Her jaw dropped once while she took in the scenery of the upscale part of Ba Sing Se.

"This place is beautiful!"

While Naraca and Nhala walked down the stairs Kiara slid down railing doing a back flip and landing gracefully on the ground infront of her new companions. As her bright smile was flashed at them Kiara walked inbetween her two friends and just looked around taking in her surroundings. That was what she seemed to be doing though Kiara was really looking for Terra for a reason other then what Naraca believed.

However when Naraca asked her why she wanted to go to a tournament and added the comment about waterbenders the girl bit her tounge and swallowed her anger before smiling up at the tall man.

"Naraca I have something I need to get from her, plain and simple. However, every place is fitting for a waterbender. Just because a majority of us are calm and collected does not mean there are some among us that crave getting stronger to protect the ones we love and to test our abilites."

That was the moment Kiara slipped infront of him and crossed her arms as she looked up at him directly in his eyes as her ice blue ones admitted that the comment that was stated didn't appeal to her taste at all.

"Do you have anymore questions Naraca?"

Kiara could not help but feel like her time here was going to result in the rest of the world finding out who she exactly was. But none the less if it could get her a earth bending master then she was all for it.

Nhala stepped off the train, and briefly spun around, looking up at the tall, sturdy buildings. The air was warm, almost uncomfortably warm, and the sun was high in the sky. Nhala paid less attention to her compatriots, and more to admiring the sheer size and beauty of the city.

People were walking away from the train, and the crowd of people waiting to get on were beginning to approach. "Come on!" She called, beckoning them to follow. She trotted towards the end of the walkway, and to the exit of the station.

Things began to get a little tense, Kiara began too appear more serious and firm. Her face held a fake smile as she told Naraca about how not all water benders were the same.
Realizing Naraca made what could be considered a racist comment, his tree trunk sized arms hung down and bowed his head slightly, but he could still make eye contact with Kiara.

Regardless of her being the Avatar or not, Naraca did not want to get on this girls bad side, and if she was the avatar then would be a better idea too simply stay on her good side.
"I'm sorry that I offended you" He said too Kiara sincerely

Kiara then proceeded too ask him if he had any more questions. Clearly she wanted too clear things up right now.
Looking around for a moment Naraca saw that there were several people wondering around him and Kiara and Nhala.
Asking if she was the Avatar now would be a bad idea, if she was and she said yes it would cause a large disturbance and many people would gather. People who may have a grudge against the avatar since Avatar Aang failed to defeat Ozai and in turn basically screwed over all the other nations. Asking here now would just cause too much trouble and Naraca's house would not really be a safe house anymore but a possible warzone.

"I do have another question" Naraca said while looking down and leaning closer to Kiara

"But I can't ask it here, but once were inside I want to talk to you" Naraca said trying too make his words seem as gentle as possible.

In truth Naraca opinion of the Avatar was neutral. However, he felt the need to protect Kiara, which is why he did not want to talk too her here. Naraca admired the story's of all the past Avatars but each one always failed too do what they were supposed too do. Each one only brought more trouble then they did good.
Aang was the only one that did good things but then he too was killed and failed. The chances of Kiara failing if she was the avatar was just as high as for the other avatars.

Turning around Naraca walked another block while staying silent. As he walked he spent the time thinking about what he would do if Kiara was the Avatar. He already knew what he would do if she was not the Avatar but that was not important.

"Alright, were here" Naraca announced while looking to his right.
Naraca's house looked as fancy as could be, the front entrance had gold lanterns handing from above the door, the stairs were finely polished in sparkling silver, while the door looked a little out of place as it was a solid steel door that was very thick and heavy.

"Come on, lets go inside and I'll show you were you two can stay" He said while walking up the stairs.

Naraca then pulled out some keys from his pocket then unlocked the door and opened it too reveal a true marvel of a house.
The inside was like something out of a fairy tale, hard to believe a rugged and tough guy like Naraca had such a beautiful place.
The interior of the house had a green and gold theme where the walls were a light brown.
The backyard had a pond with fish swimming about. The grass was freshly cut and there was a tree that stood tall and had apples ripe for the picking on the ends of the branches.

Walking too the center of the living room Naraca pointed too a hall way with three doors.

"Your room's are there, the green door is my room. The two brown doors are yours. You two can choose which one's you want" he said while looking too Kiara and Nhala who were inside at this point.

"Kiara, when your done, meet me in the back yard, I need to talk to you " he said as he walked to the backyard with the pond and the tree

PostSubject: Re: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Icon_minitimeWed Jul 06, 2011 1:20 am

Once hearing his apology Kiara simply nodded giving him the simple 'It is fine' nod and turned on her heels following him on his way to the house. The girl stayed quiet the entire walk there but not for the reason of being upset or angry at his comment.

Kiara had an unsettling feeling that this guy, which she had befriended, had figured out who she was in a matter of a few hours. That was the last thing that she wanted to deal with at this time. Now there was no way she could possibly avoid him asking her. She just knew he was going to ask her what business she had in the earth kingdom.

Turning her head to the left her eyes seemed to stare up into Naraca's but after about a minute or so they shifted to his face studying his facial expression once again. When she turned her head back to face the way they were heading there wasn't a doubt in her mind that he was curious to who she was.

Her thoughts about him knowing were shattered once she heard his booming voice announce that they arrived at where he resided. After about two blinks and her jaw dropping expression on her smooth face Kiara looked from Naraca to his house.

"Looks can be very decieving as they say.."

Her finger trailed along the gold lanters as her feet slid amusingly to her across the stairs. But once they had gotten to the door Kiara raised an eyebrow but did not ask any questions about why the door was steel of all things. However, once he opened the door her question quickly was thrown out of her head.

She could not help herself at all, Kiara had touched every detail of his interior inside the house with her hands and marvelled at how beautiful and how good his taste was in interior design. A giggle from her seemed to echo throughout the house as she concluded that the man standing infront of her was a big softie.

After listening to his explanation about where they were to stay Kiara looked at Nhala and smiled, "You can pick first..I think Naraca and I need to go ahead and finish this talk anyway."

Not taking no for an answer Kiara seemed to rush outside and sit infront of the fish pond waiting for him to start and ask his question. The question she already knew he was going to ask, but in her head she was trying to decide what answer she was ultimately going to give him.

"Oh. Ok. Have fun!" Nhala smiled as she headed down the hallway, and opened a door.

The rooms were large, possibly larger than her room  back at home. But this one had a wooden bed, with a large mattress and pillows, unlike the fur beds her family had. She stepped up the the window. The view overlooked the garden, with the wall cutting off the view of the city. She could see Kiara approaching the pond, and decided to leave the room to check the next bedroom.

Nhala stepped into the next room. It was nearly identical to the first, but the view was of the front gate, and the grass between the window and the wall. There wasn't much to look at. The bed was neatly arranged, and had intricately designed pillows.

Nhala stepped back into the hall, and glanced between the two rooms. She didn't want to pry on the conversation Kiara would be having, but she did like a view. She was conflicted on whether to claim it for herself, or if she should be nice and let Kiara have it.

She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, and turned about, releasing the held breath. She would let Kiara have the room with a view. Nhala felt she would be spending her time looking out at that view anyway. So she set her back beside the bed, and began to unpack.

PostSubject: Re: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Icon_minitimeWed Jul 06, 2011 8:03 pm

The fish in the pond swam gently. Like a family they all danced around in the water. Almost as if they rehearsed it the fish made many complex movements and group formations.
The sun shone brightly off of the blue water making it reflect the sun which caused the pond itself too sparkle beautifully. It was a gorgeous day, and Naraca's house was just as beautiful as the weather.

While looking down at the pond Naraca heard footsteps silent footsteps approaching.
He also felt the faint vibrations with his feet from the steps she took. Naraca overall did not want too do this but he felt like it was an obligation.

Turning around too face Kiara Naraca face was one of regret. Kiara was a cool girl as so far a pretty good friend. He did not want to ruin that by accusing her of things she may or may not be.

What if she wasn't the Avatar? She could just be a traveling water bender who likes things like underground tournaments. There were facts that also pointed against her being the Avatar. If she was not the Avatar then Naraca might just let them stay but then part ways with them due to guilt.
Nhala was almost oblivious to all of this. It was understandable in a way, why would anyone want to trouble themselves over something this?
However, if she was the Avatar then Naraca would do exactly what his heart told him.

"When I first saw you I immediately thought that there was something different about you." Naraca said too Kiara

"The way you keep yourself hidden, normally I would think that you were shy but you act and carry yourself like you don't have a care in the world. And yet your distant at the same time, keeping yourself hidden in plain sight" Naraca began too hate what he was doing

"Before I saw you I was on the run from the Fire nation. I was at the harbor, and yet I did not see any ships come in, which means that you came here by other means, therefore you wanted too come in Ba Sing Sa without being seen"
Naraca continued his words, his explanation told Kiara all of the facts that pointed too her being the Avatar.

"And you now you want too go see someone who is the best of all earth benders. And before that you seemed to want too follow me around"
Those were some of the facts right, from here Naraca would have to ask the question that both he and maybe Kiara were waiting.

"I think I know why you want too go to this tournament, and I think I know why you me too join you."

Naraca paused for a moment.

"You looking...For an Earth Bending teacher, and you want allies too help you fight and kill the Phoenix King Ozai"
Another pause stopped Naraca

"Kiara, please just be honest with me...Are you the Avatar???"
That was it...The question he had been waitingtoo ask. He could only hope that Kiara would be honest with him.
If she was not the Avatar then Naraca would immediately drop the subject and let them recover then he would probably leave.

if she was...Well...Naraca would have no choice but too do what his heart was telling him too do.

The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Icon_minitimeThu Jul 07, 2011 2:15 am

Kiara let her hand gently push threw the plush grass smiling a bit, walking in ice and snow all her life was something she was use to but the grass thing was still new to her and it baffled her how grass seemed to always hav a different feel in different enviroments.

Her eyes glided into the pond watching the fish swim as if they were indeed moving in a complex motion and her attention was suddenly only on them as the girl tried to figure out what exactly they were trying to do. If they were attempting to confuse Kiara would admit they were doing a spectacluar job.

However hearing Naraca's voice the girl could not help but look up into his eyes, it was a habit she had picked up from her water bending master back home.

'If you look people in their eyes while they talk or you talk you can always know what their intentions are..'

His voice echoed inside her head and quickly closing her eyes, shaking her head then crossing her legs Kiara started to pay attention again to Naraca's comments. Not being able to help it a laugh errupted from her mouth but she covered it once more when Naraca beigan talking some more.

The longer he held his explanation the more Kiara smiled. To her this was a bit of entertainment because of the simple fact that she trusted him not to say anything once she did tell him the answer. Feeling as if she was unable to lie to anyone out of fear of pure dislike and being along she decided to go ahead and tell him who or what she was excactly was.

Once Naraca ended with that question her eyes widend as her mind flashed back to the fight that her along with Mattias and his master endured against Azula.

'I think its best for now that we part ways..I still have somethings I need to attend to.'

'...I understand, I will head to the earth kingdom to find a earthbending master..'

"The fight with..Azula.." Kiara started her sentence as a whisper, "Her, Mattias and the army witnessing that damage I done and what I am...it's only a matter of time before.."

Her eyes looked into Naraca's and her ice blue ones for once showed a bit of hesitation as she started to speak. however, before Kiara was able to speak her eyes had already gave him the answer he was looking for.

"I am the Avatar..and I do not want anyone to know for the fear of me being alone to fight this war, being betrayed, and having people witness the deaths I bring upon soldiers who attack me."

Kiara let down her hair which fell and seemed to bounce twice as its final length, which was an inch or two below her bottom, cover her face so he as unable to see the first tear fall to the ground. Even at the end of her answer she had the biggest smile on her face.

"Do what you must but I am ready for about anything to happen, I have been through alot already so I know the task I have at hand is not going to be a walk in the park. So long story short I need all the practice I can get with honing my skills. Besides, the world will soon know that the Avatar has returned."

PostSubject: Re: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Icon_minitimeSat Jul 09, 2011 7:22 am

((OOC: Sorry for breaking the posting order, just wanna get things moving smoothly))

A cold chill ran up Naraca's spine, causing his back too arch he inhaled sharply and his chest puffed out slightly. His hands went stiff and his eye's focused entirely on Kiara. He could hear his heart beating in his chest. His mind was still trying process what she had just told him.

Kiara WAS the Avatar. She is the reincarnation of the last airbender known as Aang. It really is true...Naraca could only stand in amazement as she said this.
Kiara suddenly let her hair down and she covered her face again. It was quick but Naraca thought he saw her eye's moisten just before her face was concealed.

...So...The Avatar stood before Naraca...And she wanted to show the world that the Avatar was back...Feeling hesitant to continue, Naraca was about too do what he must.
Naraca dipped his gaze too the grass on his feet for a moment.

"So...Your the Avatar..." Naraca said too Kiara in a slightly quieter tone

After then that he slowly lifted his right hand up...Up too the large handle of his sword that was on his back.

"In that case..."
He wrapped his hand around the sword and slowly pulled it out of the sheathe. The sound of the heavy metal grinding agaisnt the inside of the sheathe ringed out.
"I have no choice" Naraca said grimmly.

He fully took out the blade, or rather the massive pillar of a sword. The sword was at least 3 feet wide and 6, 5 feet tall. The blade had a red jagged crack in the center, as if there was lava hidden within the blade. The sword it self was black and looked like it could send a fire nation ship flying away like a base ball.
A blade like this could not only cut, but crush someone to the point of being nothing but a pulpy mass.

As Naraca held the sword on hand he suddenly lifted the sword way up as if he was about too strike.

But then, the blade did not charge forth too Kiara but instead it slammed straight into the ground and buried at least 4 feet deep beside Naraca.

"Avatar Kiara..." Naraca said in a more louder and heavier tone.
He then crouched down and sat down on one knee as if he was about to propose too her. He bowed his head, then spoke.

"I Naraca Barnet will hereby serve your cause..." He announced as if speaking too a crowd.
"My goal is your goal, I will help you learn earth bending and help defeat the Pheonix King Ozai. I will protect you no matter what, your life is more importent then my own."
This is what Naraca knew he had too do, what would do if not follow the Avatar? Travel? No, no Naraca knew that the Avatar was a hero, and it was a dream to help the avatar in anyway possible.
He wanted nothing more then too help Kiara and keep her safe.

"Avatar Kiara...I swear this too you..." Now finished his oath Naraca stood up tall, letting his sword stay in the ground for a moment.

He looked too Kiara, hoping that she would approve of this.

Kiara looked up at Naraca just to witness his back arch and she was unable to hold in her laughter. That was the first reaction she saw from a person rather then the man she had met back in the fire nation. All Mattias did was widen his eyes and come to a realization. But Naraca on the other hand had actually tensed up and was squirming around as if he had seen a ghost.

However, when he had started talking in a low tone Kiara stop laughing and just stared at him as half her face was now covered. When he started talking louder her eyes shifted over to his hand that was reaching for him blade and Kiara instantly had gotten up staying close to the pond since it was a source of water. She was more then intimidated by his size but more so right now the blade, when he acted as if he was going to slash her with the blade Kiara almost attacked him until seeing that he slammed it into the ground. Sighing a relieved sigh Kiara stood infront of him as he knelt down and looked around as he started talking a bit loud.

"Naraca you're embarassing me, its not that big of a deal."

But once he mentioned that he would be able to teach her the basics of earth bending Kiara's eyes lit up as she surprisingly tackled him to the ground with nothing but a genuine smile on her face.

"Do you mean it!! I mean I still believe we need to have that girl Terra with us for aid as well but having you on my side is ten times better then having no one!! Can you teach me now!??!"

Kiara jumped off of him and eagerly bounced around the yard and was about to go in the house to tell Nhala until she paused and turned to look at him.

"I would really appreciate it if you didn't give me special treatment because I am like everyone else just able..to bend all the other elements. I am a normal person."

Kiara then rushed into the room where Nhala was at and stood infront of her grinning, "I can trust you with this because I know you will not tell a soul, it is in your nature not to tell a fellow tribeswoman secret!!!" once Kiara calmed down she stared Nhala in the eyes,

"The reason I wanted you to join me in my journey is because I am..the..uhm..Avatar."

Kiara burst into the house, her voice raised as she began to speak. Nhala lay on the bed, her eyes closed, the peace of the house shattered by the other waterbender's entrance. She could not hear Naraca, but Kiara was talking to someone. Quickly, however, she realized she was the target of Kiara's message, and rolled off the bed and on to her feet.

She opened the door and stepped into the hallway. "I can trust you with this, because I know you will not tell a soul! It is in your nature not to tell a fellow tribewoman's secret!" Kiara had approached her quickly, reminding Nhala of a snake she had seen grabbing a toad on the road. Nhala took a step back to give herself room.

"The reason I wanted you to join me in my journey is because I am," Kiara stole a breath, "the Avatar."

Nhala took another step back, bringing a hand to her head. She closed her eyes briefly, processing the energetic message Kiara had given to her. She opened her eyes, giving Kiara a suspicious look. "What? What do you mean? What makes you think you are the Avatar?"

She moved to step past her, and into the larger, more open living room before she turned around. "And if you are, what makes you think anything is 'in my nature'? Anyone could claim to be the Avatar." She paced about the room, massaging her temple. "I'm sorry Kiara." She sighed. "But I would need some sort of proof before I believed your wild claim." She seated herself in a chair. "I really am sorry, but I can't just believe everything I hear in blind faith."

She waved a hand to a nearby chair. "Please, sit with me and start from the beginning."

Kiara smiled a bit and was not at all surprised at Nhala's doubt about her being the avatar. Now that Kiara thought about it how in the heck was she going to show Nhala that she was really the avatar. It wasn't like she could waterbend to show her, she was born a waterbender. But then an idea formed into her head,

"Thats it!"

Taking her hand gently Kiara walked back outside looking at Naraca who was still sitting on the ground. She didnt think it was the best idea to be earthbending in the backyard but she seriously doubted that someone would be able to see past the walls anyway.

"Naraca can you teach me how to do a basic earthbending move right now please? Just so I am able to show Nhala that I am the avatar?"

Kiara stood up and took Nhala's hand, leading her outside. "What are you doing?" Kiara lead her around the house and towards the pond where Naraca was. "Oh. I get it. You want to impress me by having him pretend that you are the one earthbending..."

She wrested her hand free of Kiara's grip. "Having him lift rocks while you wave your arms around won't convince me. You'd have to do more than put on a magic show to convince me." Nhala took a step back, watching the scene unfold before turning away and walking slowly back to the house.

Once inside, she closed the door, and wiped her eyes. She headed for her room, but stopped at the hallway. She glanced towards the windows to the view of the pond. Maybe she was the Avatar. Maybe she wasn't. Either way, Nhala felt the pang of guilt in causing the scene she had made, and possibly, in not giving Kiara a chance to prove her statement to her.

She quietly stepped to the window, and leaned against a wall, looking out at the pond, and at the two people she had left there. She hugged the wall, so as not to be seen as she looked sadly on. Maybe she was right. Maybe Naraca could teach her earthbending. Nhala would watch from the privacy of the house as she reflected on how much she had hurt Kiara, and just how much damage had been done.

The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Icon_minitimeTue Jul 12, 2011 10:35 pm

Indeed these were interesting time's. The Avatar certainly put an interesting spin on things. As Naraca knelt down he was suddenly tackled down by Kiara. Not an easy thing to do since Naraca weighed about 500 pounds of solid muscle.
As she asked if he could teach her earth bending now Naraca could not help but give out a silent laugh. Kiara was indeed full of joy and wanted nothing more then too learn how too bend the elements as quickly as possible.

Before he could give her an answer she suddenly darted out of the back yard and towards Nhala. It was when she was there Naraca began too think of the path that lay before him.
He just swore himself to Kiara so therefore, he was probably going to go on what could be considered the ultimate adventure.
He was not afraid, but happy, however he did not show it. Naraca was trained too show no emotion and even now he was supposed too do the same. Naraca had trouble following those teaching though.

He was happy for Kiara, and was happy that he too was going to be a big part of history. He began to wonder if Nhala would also follow.
He then saw Kiara pull Nhala out, who looked far less amused then Kiara was.

Naraca face began too look far more grim as he heard Nhala speak of the facts. Ultimately Naraca knew Kiara was the Avatar because every fiber of his being told him that she was indeed the Avatar. Nhala however did not feel the same way. She wanted proof first.
Naraca stayed silent, since he had no real way too give any proof.

Kiara then asked for Naraca too teach her something, as a way too prove that she was the Avatar. Naraca looked too Kiara, his grim look had not changed, Nhala was saying exactly was Naraca was thinking.

As he would teach her earth bending, he could actually bend the earth for her. Even if he did not, how could he prove that he was not performing the move himself? It was indeed a problem.
After Nhala left, Naraca stood on his feet and thought about it for a moment.
Could he make her go in the Avatar State perhaps? No, no that can't be an option. It would involve Naraca having to cause Kiara extreme pain, something that he just swore himself too not do.

Indeed, there was no easy way too do it. So had only one option. Kiara wanted Nhala to come. So, being Kiara Guardian now he had to do what he could.

Naraca walked toward the entrance of his house. As he passed Kiara he said

"Give me a moment" He told Kiara

He walked inside the house, then turned too the hallway when he saw Nhala. She was not in her room but just outside it. Naraca looked at her and saw she was sad. She did want to say such things too Kiara.
Naraca knew that he did not have any proof, but maybe...Just maybe he did not need any.

"Your right you know...There is no proof...And I should feel like a fool for swearing that oath to Kiara" He said while refraining from making eye contact, but looking down instead.
"When it comes too the facts, there is little reason for me to believe that she is the Avatar." Naraca looked back at Kiara for a moment.

"But when it comes too my heart..." Naraca placed his fist on his giant chest

"I have every reason to believe that she is the Avatar" He looked up and made eye contact with Nhala.

"With all of my heart I truly believe that she is truly the Avatar. I know that I just met you, but I can see that you regret what you said...So...Nhala...Tell me" Naraca paused for a moment.

"If you put aside logic for a moment and listen too your heart...What does it say about Kiara?" He spoke clearly too Nhala, hoping that she would see something in Kiara like how Naraca see's something in her.

Nhala listened as Naraca spoke. She closed her eyes, and rested her head against the wall. "I..." She muttered, "It tells me that she is a good, honest woman. And that she cares for others, even if she does not know them."

She began to turn her head towards him, giving him a clear view of the side of her face. "But I... I cannot allow myself to believe that she is the Avatar. Not yet." She turned her head back to the window, and spoke in a reflective sadness. "I lived my life in the north. I am the daughter of a noble family. And I... I was trained to trust others, and weigh their opinions."

She moved away from the window, and towards her room. "But I have been trained not to take things at face value. I wish I could believe her. I really do. But I can  not believe in the coincidence of meeting the Avatar." She reached the door.

"I hate to hurt her. And I truly, truly want to believe... but I am too skeptical for my own good. But..." She opened the door. "I am patient. If she presents undeniable proof, then maybe...  maybe I will finally believe, as I wish to. I'm sorry." She steps into the room and closes the door. Quietly, she pads across the room and collapses onto her bed.

PostSubject: Re: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Icon_minitimeWed Jul 13, 2011 2:06 am

Kiara could only look down as Nhala began her explanation of how Kiara was going to 'fool' her into thinking that she was earthbending. The longer Nhala began to explain the more Kiara had felt her heart sink into her chest.

As soon as Naraca stood up and went to tell her to give Nhala some time she looked up at him a bit disappointed but more so angry at herself. Maybe she shouldn't have assumed that Nhala would take the news like Naraca had.

"I guess..I shouldn't have believed she would take it the same way you did."

As soon as Naraca passed her Kiara quickly turned away and jumped over the pond but while in the air her hands moved forward in a flowing motion as the water supported her up towards the wall. Once standing on the backyard wall Kiara waved her hands back having the water set neatly back in the pond before jumping down and taking off running into the city.

Right now maybe space was a good idea, being known as a hothead from the southern water tribe was not going to get her in trouble this time. The young Avatar had no clue where she was going but right now the only thing that was on her mind was to get as far away from that house as possible.

It wasn't that Kiara was angry at Nhala that was just one thing that was eating her mind away. The girl was way more disappointed in the way she acted in telling Nhala. But to her that was just part of her personality and something that was unable to control.

Until Kiara felt as if she was unable to walk anymore the girl looked around only to notice that the dolled up part of the city was gone and was know in the more common wealth part of the city. A bit of curiousity peaked as her feet guided her through the city of many mazes.

The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Icon_minitimeWed Jul 13, 2011 4:14 am

The ship made port in the Earth Nation, and Cerelia and the girls walked off the ship. They had become quick friends, but Cerelia knew that she could not stay with them. Wherever her quest took her, she'd follow. An agreement had been made earlier, that while they had wanted to travel to Ba Sing Se together, their paths would have to seperate. One of the girls had misplaced a present for her aunt, and so they all were going to go shopping before heading to the capital. Cerelia would go ahead and enter by herself.

As soon as the front entrance was in sight, Cerelia hid in the bushes. The Fire Nation waited outside, and she had no desire to go around them or through customs. She walked along the wall until the guards were out of sight and pulled out her disguise. Putting it on, she thought about how she would find the Avatar.

Raising his hands, dirt began to loosen and seperate from the soil, and rose beneath his feet. The pillar of dirt raised him to the top of the wall. Peeking over the edge, he saw no guards, and crawled over, lowering the dirt back to the ground. He ran across the wall to the other side and looked down. It was a long way to the inner wall, and he quickly jumped down, using two of the bricks as protection as he slid down the wall.

Reaching the bottom, he quickly scanned the area, and felt the ground. No motion. For a fortress city, it was oddly quiet on the outer walls. Perhaps it had something to do with the Fire Nation parked right outside their outer gate.

Raising a wave of dirt, the Desert Fox rode his way to the inner wall of Ba Sing Se, where he deftly evaded the guards and snuck inside. This was where the real search began.

The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Icon_minitimeWed Jul 13, 2011 7:20 pm

Nhala truly wanted to believe. However, she simply was not ready to start accepting that she of all people was chosen to help fight with the avatar. Who could blame her? Too join the Avatar was too live a life of terrible pain and struggle. Every day would be a fight, every day would be one of hardship and misery. In all of that though, there was the greatest feeling of all. To live your life to the fullest, too know that you will be remembered for a eternity and to know that you made the biggest change of all in the world.

Before the Avatar Naraca lived the life of an early retiree. Someone who merely traveled and did nothing for anyone but himself. Naraca was just waiting too die. He was not welcome in terms of a job in the earth kingdom. The Water tribe was the only option but the fire nation just loved the idea of there being a former Dai Lee which they could convert to work for the fire nation.

After Naraca finished talking to Nhala he heard the sound of water sloshing around. Quickly Naraca looked too his backyard and saw Kiara bending water too propel herself over the wall and outside.

"Kiara!!!" He yelled in a powerful voice as he saw her leave his sight.

Quickly Naraca pulled his sword out from the ground then dashed outside and towards the backyard, followed by jumping way up to the top of the wall using nothing but his legs.
While on the wall he looked around but saw she was already gone.

"Darn it!" he cursed

Ba Sing Sae was a city the get away from the war for a change and be happy, no doubt about that. However, the city itself was still filled crime and corruption. There were thieves, murders, thugs and corrupt guards. If any of these people were to find the avatar then the oath that Naraca just made would be broken.
He knew that she wanted to be alone, but to be out there was dangerous. Kiara was a master of water bending, but the problem was there were master of earth bending that were hellbent of causing trouble. And in the Ba Sing Sae, there was a lot more earth then there was water.

He had to go look for her, he had too protect the Avatar.
Undoubtedly Nhala had noticed this happened as well. He would probably need her help.

"Nhala!!!" He shouted

"You want proof that Kiara is the Avatar!?" He continued followed by turned around and facing the direction of her window.

"Join me in finding her, so that you may see for yourself that she is truly the next Avatar."
Naraca knew that this search would probably just turn out with him finding her and nothing happens. But, just maybe something would happen here, something that would at the very least convince Nhala in staying. Kiara wanted Nhala too join, so Naraca was going to do what he could to make sure that she would join.

"Change your life Nhala!!! Change the course of history itself and become a legend among all water benders. I can promise you that she is the Avatar, and it's only a matter of time before it's proven."
He continues in his powerful and savage like voice, a voice that was meant for public speaking. Undoubtedly other people would start too hear Naraca and become curious. It would only be a matter of time before people would soon whisper rumors that the Avatar was back.

"Come join me and change your life. Or stay, and watch from the sidelines when people all around the world speak of the defeat of the Phoenix King Ozai, and they cheer the names Kiara, and Naraca!!!"
Naraca knew that this would happen. In time everyone would know that the Avatar was fighting to bring all the four nations back together and in harmony.

"I leave the choice too you...Nhala" He ended his speech.

With that, Naraca jumped down from the wall and began to search for clues. If Nhala was too join then she be behind Naraca right about now, if not, then would probably be in her room. Naraca could only pray that she would follow him.

This was it, if she follows, then she would seal her fate in following the avatar. If not then she could leave, and believe whatever she wants to believe.
The choice was hers too make.

Nhala lay on the bed. Naraca had left a few minutes before. His words had merit. Those who aided the Avatar would go down in history as heroes. They were the ones praised for standing up against evil.

The only problem was that Nhala didn't know if she wanted to be in the spotlight. At home, she was being raised for the political and social circles of the nobles and higher class. But she would only be the wife of a nobleman, someeone who would help make the decisions for the tribe. She could influence his decisions, but never speak before the council.

Now, she had an oppertunity to be someone with a voice, someone who could make a difference. Nhala rose to a sitting position. She did not know if she wanted to go on an Avatar's journey, and face the dangers of the world.

Nhala rose and opened the door, stepping into the hallway, and making her way out to the road. But she could at least make sure Kiara was alright.

PostSubject: Re: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Icon_minitimeSat Jul 16, 2011 2:39 pm

After about another hour of walking around Kiara wondered into a tea shop and inhaled the scent of warm tea, A gentle smile was on her face now seeing as the guilt of her outburst and the whole scene back there was fading fast. Looking around the tea shop Kiara had many eyes stare her down, who could blame them though? Kiara looked as if she was an outsider from somewhere but none the less most of them just went back to their tea and conversations.

Walking up to the counter Kiara ordered a tea and then sat waiting patiently at an empty table, to much of her surprise two burly men joined her in the table with nothing but grins.

"Hi there, you are a long ways from home aren't you?" One man grinned and held out his hand, "My name is Ace, and this here is my friend Kye"

Kiara looked at both the men before raising her left eyebrow, these men wanted something but for the moment she wouldn't mind entertaining them for her amusement. But then as he tea was set on the table Kiara decided not to do what she wanted just this once unless she really had to.

"It is nice to meet you, can I ask why you men are sitting here with me?"

Kye grinned setting his knife on the table while his eyes stared into hers, "You look like you are from a high nobility from the water tribes. I do believe your daddy would pay a hefty price to get you again."

Kiara couldn't help but smiled and start laughing like it was a joke, "So is this the part where I am suppose to go with you?" She grinned even more as both men looked at eachother perplexed at how calm Kiara was. "You know what, I'll go with you guys, you will be getting more than you bargained for." With that she stood and started out the door the men cautiously following behind her.

"Turn left right here." Ace replied looking over at Kye who was nodding.

Once Kiara turned left she was now entering a run down home with a pipe leakage and water flowing like a waterfall and could only smile to herself at how easy this was going to be. But then loud noises from the other room where catching her attention and she couldn't help but touch the handle of the door.

"Don't touch that door!!!" Ace yelled with a base in his voice, Kye looked over at Kiara and pointed to the chair, "Sit."

Kiara looked over her shoulder and twisted the knob as her eyes shifted to what was behind the door, dozens of caged animals stacked ontop beside and across from eachother. Her eyes widened to see their suffering eyes and screeches of pain. There was only one walk way to get to one end of the room to another and Kiara was absolutely disgusted by the stench.

"I told you not to open that door!!" Ace yelled while rushing over to Kiara to grab her, Kiara however, quickly waterbended a stream of water pushing both men back into the thick puddle of water into the corner of the main room.

"Do you have any idea how cruel that is!!!" Without even listening to them Kiara drew her hands up in a slow motion but towards the end raised them with such speed they were hard to follow. The water as if on the mark raised up around the men and froze them in an ice dome.

"Hmph.." She nodded at her work as the men were in a froze icesicle, turning around within another half hour Kiara had released the animals. As her and the animals busted out the building Kiara already knew that she was causing an uproar in the streets of Ba sing se but that did not matter to her. She was having too much fun right now. Maybe it was best that she limited herself on telling people who she was, but that was something that was hard for her, a trusting nature was what the young waterbender inherited from her mother.

The Desert Fox hid behind a bazaar and crouched on the ground. Cerelia began to take off the desert clothes, ever cautious of nearby people. Suddenly, loud screams and shouts of surprise could be heard in the distance as a thunderous rumble began. Within a minute, animals began rampaging through the street and people began fleeing.

Cerelia stood up and looked around the bazaar. There were a lot of animals, but the numbers were dying down.

The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom   The Avatar and the Earth Kingdom - Page 2 Icon_minitimeSun Jul 17, 2011 5:50 am

The sky began too go dark. The fiends of the night began there prowl for
innocent people, or folks that looked like they had fat wallets.
During the day time this place appeared like a heaven on earth, but at
night, it's true colors were shown. It was no different from any other
back wash piece of crap town. Only difference was that this place was
coated in gold, but the inside was still black and rotten. Naraca could
recall times as a Dai Lee agent when he saw other agents taking
advantage of people in ways he did not like to remember. Really, what
had changed in the last 100 years? The city is still in fear despite
it's so called escape from the war. But really, nothing had changed.

The Fire Nation still ran around doing what they pleased, the earth
kingdom sat around talking about the war instead of actually doing
something about it, The Water Tribe always insisted on staying as far
away from the war as possible. The only time they did anything was when
Avatar Aang had to kick there butts into gear.

As Naraca roamed the streets he was constantly reminded of how little he
was able to accomplish. And for a guy as big as he was, he was far too
small to do anything about the war. Even the Avatar seemed the same way,
the Avatar failed, again, and again and again. Nothing has changed.
Really, what were the chances of he and Kiara and Nhala being able to stop the war? The odds were infinity too one.
However, Naraca wanted nothing more then too stop this war. Even if he
could not make a difference at least he could say that he tried as hard
as he could.
What's better, too live for nothing. or to die for something?
At least now that Naraca was sworn too Kiara, maybe...Just maybe, he could do something.

As if the Avatar was supposed to cause trouble, it was not hard too
track down Kiara. The animals scattering about was a tip off as too were
she was.
Ace and Kye were names. Not notorious but Naraca heard of them in
passing. They were your average crooks with a twist, some sort of animal
smuggling was also a part of there thug life style.

Walking up to a tea shop Naraca saw several people were standing outside
on looking at a few of the animals that were running around with no
real direction in mind.
A few people were pointing at a nearby house, talking about the animals coming from that same house.
Looking towards the house Naraca readjusted the his sword on his back then made his way to the house. The poor excuse for a door was forced open. The place was a dump. However, there were two things that caught his attention. There was water leaking from a rusty pipe and two men that were frozen in an iceberg.

"What the hell is?!" He said to himself, angry at what he saw.
Kiara was defiantly here and right away Naraca could see that she was not that mature and seemed too lack the decency to not freeze there heads and chest so they could breathe.

Quickly, he lifted his right fist up then slammed right on the ice. The ice shattered into a hundred piece's. The ice was no match for his overwhelming strength.
The men were completely blue and were shaking like they had a severe case of full body turrets.

"You'll freeze to death unless you get someplace warm, so get out of my sight"
He said in a savage and brute like manner to intimidate the two men. Between there teeth chattering like jack hammers they nodded there heads and scrambled away from the 7 foot tower of muscle.

Seeing an open door with a rotting stench coming from it Naraca walked towards the door and the culprit to the release of these animals.
Kiara stood in the room, appearing like a glowing gem amidst the chaos. At first Naraca wanted to lecture her for what she did.
But as he looked at here he could see that she was currently going through something that a lot of people in the world love to have right now. Happiness.

It was a beautiful thing to witness in times like these. Despite all of the crap going on in this world, despite all of the hell that stood before the Avatar Kiara. She was still able to smile.
Naraca stayed silent for a moment.
He still had to get her back home safe though.

"Kiara..." He said softly. Which was rare since his voice was that of a beast.

"Let's go home" He said while motioning his head for Kiara to follow Naraca back to his house.
"It's getting late"

All Naraca wanted was for this night to be done and over with. Hopefully no more surprises would come around.

Nhala wandered the sreets. The sun was setting, and had disappeared beyond the high walls of the city. Everything was covered in shadow, and people were turning on their lamps. All about her, strange faces gave her sly, cruel looks of ill intention. It unnerved her.

A stray animal stood in the road, grazing on a small tuft of grass. But a shadowy man lead it away, a wicked smile upon his face. Nhala felt sorry for the goat, and knew that at the moment, that could happen to her at any time. She hugged herself, as if to make herself less noticable.  She could feel the many eyes focusing on her, and the michevious cackles of those watching her. Nhala's heart pounded, her eyes were wide,  and she was about as nervous as she had ever been in her life. Perhaps a type of fear she had never felt before. Why did she leave the house? Naraca and Kiara were no where near her spot, and this city was huge.

Right now, she wished to be back at Naraca's house, where she could be warm and safe in the company of good people. A shiver went down her spine. She looked behind her. The many thugs who gave her strange looks were gathering on the road, following her. They were beginning to speak up, inviting her with "here kitty kitty" and worse remarks. Nhala's eyes widened, and she set off into a sprint down one of the side roads. The thugs followed suit down nearby roads.

Nhala was scared for her life now, and looked back, and to the roads on her right to see how close they were. There were so many of them. And few people would be out at this hour to help her. Her eyes darted around. A fountain! She could use the water there! She veered off her path and towards the fountain plaza, finally catching herself on the rim.

She stood there, catching her breath, panting hard from her mad dash to salvation. The thugs were beginning to catch up, and gather on the edge of the plaza around their cornered prey. Nhala opened her eyes, ready to finally strike back, only to discover that the fountain was dry.

Sudden realization set in as her hopes began to vanish. Her knees began to shake from under her, and she sat on the fountain. She turned to look at the large group of thugs closing in. She was trembling with fear, eyes wide, unable to move, her hope lost.

So this was true fear.
