History: Kuabara was a normal fire nation soldier for most of his life, even served under azula at one point, before his promotion to the fire nation elite. His great size, coupled with his combustion abilities and intense disdain for human life made him the perfect killing machine, and an excellent addition to the Elite.

During his time in the elite he earned a rather distinguished reputation in battle for winning, often at the expense of his soldiers. The opposing commanders usually met with gruesome deaths as well to entertain the cruel barbarian, earning him the nickname the nightmare commander, or often just Nightmare.

The nightmare Commander washed away most of his humanity when he was young and his family was slain on the road by simple bandits. In a rage he slaughtered them all with his combustion powers which his father had forbid him from using before, leveling a fair chunk of the forest they had been traveling through before attacked. He wandered for days, the young boy lost, as young boys tend to do, until he was found by a group of firenation soldiers. They had come across the destruction he had caused in the forest, and upon seeing the eye like mark on his forhead took him to see their commander.

The commander took kuabara and nurtured the hate and rage inside him, often pitting him against other young hateful men in arenas to fuel his bloodlust. When Kuabara was big enough to pass as an adult he was put in the commanders ranks and quickly rose to the point of subcommander.

He claimed the title of commander through murder, though the truth of the matter is unknown to any save himself. On the battlefeild against the earth nation Kuabaras commander and mentor fell wounded, Kuabara fought hard and drove the earth warriors away from him before turning to his commander. "The weak have no right to lead." was all he said before driving an earth nation spear through his former commanders belly.


Currently he is on assignment hunting the avatar under the command of Zira, a goal he is looking foward to. Not everyday a psycho like him gets to slay someone so powerful after all.
