Appearance:
Lyra is a small, kind of short petite girl. She has a soft muscular build, not to hefty, and not too puny. Lyra has bright, big, blue eyes, and beautifull rosy pink cheeks. She has dark brown hair that is very thin and long. She keeps it tied up with a large red bow in the back, and her bangs fall over her eyes in chopped, layered, bangs. She wears a tight fitting dark yellow, to tan colored garb, it has cut off sleeves and forms a short dress. Over that she wears a mohagony corset, and Lyra wears dark brown sleeves over her arms and skin hugging pants of the same color. For shoes Lyra likes to wear flat footed slippers, or leather boots that come up to her thighs. (Once again, because she wasnt raised in the temples, she doesnt bear Airbender tattoo's, or have a shaved head.)

Voice: Not a shrill or deep voice, more of a tense out forward voice. She speaks up, but in a calm way.

Lyra also packs with her a burlap bag to carry paper, ink and brushes. She uses these to write about her expirences and where she has been, while traveling the world. She also carries her weapon, a hand crafted bow, and arrows along with it.

Personality:
Lyra is a confident strong woman. She expresses her feelings and has enough confidence to back them up. She is quiet, reflective, and idealistic. Interested in serving humanity. Well-developed value system, which they strive to live in accordance with. Extremely loyal. Mentally quick, and able to see possibilities. Interested in understanding and helping people. Independent, original, analytical, and determined. Has an exceptional ability to turn theories into solid plans of action. Highly value knowledge, competence, and structure. Long-range thinker. Has very high standards for her performance, and the performance of others. Natural leader, but will follow if she trusts existing leaders. She also is blunt and not afraid to say what is on her mind.

History: Lyra grew up on a island somewhere off Earth Nation waters. Her, and her twin brother Gale were each others best friends. Living side by side, and playing with each other everyday. They lived with thier mother, but no father. He had left just as they were born, he left and took Gale's and Lyra's older brother with him, Saichi. Thier mother told them they were of airbender descent when Lyra and Gale both dicovered thier bending talents. She flourished in beinding, teaching herself along with her brother. They praticed constantly, never wanting to stop. Only when they were compleatly drained of power would they sleep. However she did not specify why they did not live as monks and in the temples.
Lyra and Gale grew up quickly, and it wasnt long before they decided to take leave and find bending masters. The night before they left, a stranger came to the home. He was somewhat older the Lyra and Gale, but not by much. This man hugged thier crying mother, who then introduced himself as thier older brother Saichi. He told them of the world and what it was like. Which just made the young adults more anxious to go. They left that mother with thier brother and eventually split ways. Lyra now travels the world alone taking in its captivating wonders.
She hopes to get back in touch with her lost brother, but only on her journey to master airbending.
